Frequently Asked Questions
Check back often as this section will be updated
1. How do I become a vendor?
Please fill out the general application here. This adds you to the list to be notified of new events. Please be sure that you type your contact information correctly, as we will not hunt you down for it.
2. What is the selection process?
We try to extend the invitations to vend first to the returning vendors that guests have come to know and love, and then to vendors we believe have quality work, a coherent social media presence, and who bring an original or unique offering. We are not interested in resale vendors, MLMs or pyramid businesses, and do not often accept things like soap and body products unless the theme fits. Jewelry is also a very oversaturated category, and we are moving toward only accepting hand fabricated jewelry in the future.
3. So what happens next?
If we believe you are a great fit for the market, you will receive a separate email with a link to a ticketing platform (like eventbrite or ticketleap) This is how we track sales of vendor spaces. If you do not receive this registration link, you have not been accepted into the event. You are not registered until the space is purchased. Spaces sell out quickly, so receiving an acceptance does not guarantee your space. You must register.
4. Will I receive a rejection email?
Not always. Some events we will send a no thank you, some events we accept on a rolling basis as spaces fill up.
5. I've applied so many times and never gotten in, why?
Unfortunately we no longer have access to the large venues we used pre- covid. The two venues now hold capacity of 25 vendors and it makes the selection process difficult. The best way to secure space in ANY art or vendor market is to maintain high quality photos and an active social media presence. Stand out.
6. What is the accessibility situation at Sip Studios?
Sip Studios has recently installed a stairlift that can accommodate up to 600lbs. There is one bathroom that does not require steps to enter but is through two standard size doorways. Any specific questions can be sent to jcodditiesmarket@gmail.com.
7. Are dogs permitted at the events?
At the cemetery- yes, but never near the goats if they are present and all dogs must be properly leashed, please no extendable leashes. Do not allow your dog to urinate on gravestones or vendor booths. At Sip Studios, only service dogs (trained to perform a specific function) are permitted. Policies subject to change. We love dogs and have our own, but some venues can be very overwhelming for them.
